Tomorrow is state testing for all of our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in writing. Please be at school and on time.
Tomorrow we are encouraging all of our students to wear blue in support of Autism Awareness Day.

As we enter the last 9-weeks of school, it is time to let our student's shine in their personal success. Please remember attendance is important. Our school is continually looking at Academics, Behavior, and Attendance. These are the areas to focus on to help each child achieve a well rounded education. See you at school!

Tuesday is Early Release and there will be no tutoring or 21st century. All students will be released at 12:35 tomorrow 2/27/2024.
Tuesday, February 27, 2024, Robert H. Jenkins, Jr. Elementary School will host the Superintendent for his February Community Engagement Session. The session is to begin at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. All families and community members are invited. You will park on the cafeteria side (parent drop-off and pick-up parking lot). Doors will open at 5:45.
This week kicks off Read Across America! Each day, students and staff are encouraged to join in on the fun by dressing up according to the daily theme. See the flier below for the list of daily themes. Tomorrow is crazy sock day! Let's see those crazy socks!

Stephen Wilson, The Science Guy, will be at our school on Thursday and Friday during lunches to set up a table for any student who would like to purchase a kit. The information should be coming home and we will attach it to this post again. Feel free to print this out if you would like. HAPPY NATIONAL FFA WEEK! Join in on our fun SPIRIT WEEK and FUNDRAISER.
While we do not have FFA at our school, we are proud to represent our secondary schools that do. Jenkins is building their brand new agriculture program in our K-5 classrooms. Ms. Degeyter is doing a fantastic job of introductory lessons in Agricultural Education and we couldn't be more proud. The future looks bright for our program.
Thursday, Feb 22 is also a very special GIVE FFA DAY. If you feel so inclined, please donate to any local FFA program or to the Jenkins Elementary School Agriculture program.
