First Grade with Miss A

Every nine weeks our class nominates and elects a president, treasurer, and secretary. By giving students the opportunity to vote, we show them that their opinions matter and that they play an important part in shaping our classroom community and, eventually, their world. We’re excited to see our term two elected officials grow into confident young leaders.

Join PCSD for a LIVE parent event – Snapchat & Instagram Risks

Is your child begging for, or already using, Snapchat and Instagram? If so, join PCSD Superintendent Dr. Rick Surrency along with SmartSocial on Wednesday, November 5th at 7:00PM for a LIVE virtual event, designed to help parents learn why their kids want to Snapchat or Instagram and hidden risks you need to know about!:

These apps can be fun and creative, but big risks are hiding behind features like disappearing chats or “spam” and “finsta” accounts. What feels private to your teen can actually fuel comparison, anxiety, cyberbullying, and risky behavior.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Fall Festival. Please support our sponsors and their businesses. They are always involved in school projects and we can't thank them enough. We are so very thankful for the parents who sent in trinkets, candy and cakes for the booths. Our students were still talking about the festival yesterday.

As we enter or Fall and Winter season it is very important to ensure that your students name is written inside the winter clothes. We already have 20+ jackets that are missing their owner in our lost and found. Please make sure there is a name on your students clothing and this will help us make sure that it gets back home with them. Thank you so much.

Congratulations to two of the most selfless people on our campus. Mrs. Elsagga was named our Teacher of the Year and Mrs Brock was named our School Related Employee of the Year. Both of our school representatives are deserving of this recognition and we can't wait to see them shine at the district level!
