Charles Debose, a student at IJSHS, recently found and turned in a brand new phone to Mr. Ratliff, his teacher. Charles definitely exhibited the trait of a Global Citizen, one of the character traits of a Portrait of a Graduate, by showing trustworthiness and honesty! The owner of the phone was elated to get her phone back and impressed by knowing that Charles was demonstrating such integrity!
Way to go, Charles, for being an outstanding Ram! We sure our proud of you! =)
Mr. Irizarry took some very well deserving Chorus students today to see A Christmas Carol, the musical. Several adults bragged to administration about how engaged and well behaved they were! Way to go Mr. Irizarry and students...you made us proud representing the Rams like you did!

Please don't forget that the Progress Reports for the 2nd 9-week grading period go home this Friday, November 17th!
Parents/guardians, please review grades with students. They have approximately 4 weeks until the end of Quarter 2, so they have plenty of time to bring up any grades that are lower than they'd like them to be. Please talk to your child(ren) about this and make a plan NOW! Reach out to teachers through Rooms/Thrillshare with any questions you have, or call to schedule a conference if needed.

Galactik Nutrition here in Interlachen is a business partner with IJSHS, and we couldn't be more thankful! After hearing of a student need at our last SAC meeting, Galactik Nutrition immediately stepped up to the plate to help our kids!
Right now, they have a basket that is full of goodies, gift cards, etc. that they are selling tickets for. One lucky name will be drawn on Saturday, November 18th. The great news is that all money made off of ticket sales will go directly toward helping our senior class! Even more exciting is the fact that the tickets are only $2!

We are so proud to recognize Jaiden Hall as a student who exhibits our Portrait of a Graduate characteristic of Global Citizenship! Every day without prompting, Jaiden finishes lunch and moves around offering to discard trash for others and picks up trash throughout the cafeteria! He is humble when acknowledged and clearly isn't doing it for any reason other than to help out! We gave him candy bags today, a small gesture of thanks compared to his daily giving! We love you, Jaiden, and know you will make an amazing mark on this world! 💙🩶🤍

Crescent City Location: Winn-Dixie, 1115 N. Summit Street
Palatka Location: HCA Putnam, 611 Zeagler Drive
Unsecured, unused or expired prescription medications can lead to accidents, misuse, addiction, and pose serious risks to our students. We would like to encourage parents and guardians to: Locate and securely store their medications at home, ensuring they are out of reach of children and adolescents & Identify and dispose of any medications that are unwanted or have expired dates.
We cannot express enough gratitude to Kona Ice, Joey and Jessica Crews, for supplying lunch for our faculty and staff on this Early Release Day! You guys truly made our day! We are so happy to have you as a business partner with IJSHS! 😁
