January 10, 2024 Out of an abundance of caution, we have initiated emergency procedures on all PCSD campuses in response to a non-specific threat sent to school districts across the state. Local and state law enforcement officials are actively working with school districts and are conducting a thorough investigation. This threat has been deemed non-credible. Our concern, as always, remains the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and faculty members within our school community. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns or require further information. Thank you.

Local cheerleaders from PCSD's Interlachen Jr.-Sr. High School (IJSHS) represented Varsity Spirit in the 2023 Thanksgiving Tour at the Walt Disney World® Magic Kingdom Nov. 20-24. All IJSHS cheerleaders attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association summer camp at the University of Central Florida. While there, they auditioned to be All-Americans at the camp by performing a cheer, a jump and a dance to determine who was selected. When the names were read, five IJSHS names were called. Laniyah Alridge, Alaina Sullivan, Alyssa Turner, Emily Suarez and Haillie Hamlin received a medal commemorating their All-American distinction, and their spots in the Varsity Spirit Thanksgiving Parade were secured.
