Q.I. Roberts celebrated their second annual Cambridge Pinning Ceremony last week and grew the event even more, celebrating teachers and inducting students into their National Honor Society.
They started by recognizing teachers, providing an award to Mr. Jerry Rothschild and Mr. Mike Weeks for 15 years of educational excellence at Q.I. Roberts and also Mr. Richard Brown and Mr. Steven Fortner for 10 years of educational excellence.
Q.I. recognized 203 students and their 584 exams passed to date. Of the exams passed, 23 of them were passed at the highest level. Students were presented with their Cambridge pin, signifying that they are AICE diploma candidates. Students also received a silver bar for any AP exam passed, a gold bar for any AICE exam passed and stars for any exam passed at the highest level.
Michele Knowles, Q.I. Roberts National Honor Society Sponsor joined the ceremony this year to induct 42 students into NHS. Students qualified for NHS by maintaining at least an unweighted GPA of 3.5 and being recommended by a faculty member. These students will continue the chapter's mission of Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service.
