Catelyn Boze, an English teacher at Q.I. Roberts Jr/Sr High School, has been named a National Board Certified Teacher by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). According to the National Board’s data, she is one of only 12 teachers in the state of Florida to earn this certification in 2022. In addition, she was the only teacher in the state to earn the recognition for her specialty–English Language Arts for Late Adolescence and Early Adulthood. This prestigious recognition is awarded to teachers who have demonstrated excellence in their field by meeting rigorous standards through an examination and a detailed portfolio.
National Board Certification is the highest credential available in the teaching profession, and it represents a commitment to the highest levels of teaching practice. The certification process includes a rigorous evaluation of a teacher's teaching practice, as well as their knowledge and skills in their subject area. The process is designed to identify and recognize teachers who have demonstrated exceptional teaching abilities, and who are able to help students achieve high levels of academic success.
Mrs. Boze has been teaching at Q.I. Roberts for 8 years, teaching a range of classes related to English Language Arts and the Humanities. Mrs. Boze’s achievement is a testament to her dedication to teaching, and to her commitment to providing the best possible education for her students.
