February is CTE month! Each February the value, achievements, and accomplishments of CTE programs are celebrated across the country. What exactly is CTE and why is it important for our students?
CTE is Career and Technical Education. Career and technical education that directly prepares
students for high-wage, high-demand careers. CTE covers many different fields, including health care, information technology, advanced manufacturing, welding, automotive, hospitality, business management, aerospace, construction, arts technology, and many more. CTE encompasses many different types of education, from classroom learning to certification programs to work-based learning opportunities outside the classroom.
