Mrs. Alexis Lewis' class went a thousand miles away on the 1,000th day of school for 5th graders yesterday. They went to the Dominican Republic where they learned all about the history, traditions, and staples of the Dominican culture. The students enjoyed punch and spending time "on the beach". Mrs. Lewis said it was a great escape to the tropics for some warmer weather! Look out Mrs. Lewis there might be some stowaways next year!
