In a heartwarming display of compassion and solidarity, students from Browning-Pearce Elementary School have come together to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. Through their collective efforts, they have embarked on a penny-saving campaign, Penny Wars, demonstrating that even the smallest contributions can have a significant impact on raising awareness and supporting those affected by breast cancer. Classes have challenged each other to see which class will collect the most pennies.
By actively participating in this campaign, they are learning the importance of standing together as a community and supporting those in need. Through their actions, they are demonstrating that even the smallest gestures can make a significant impact on the lives of others.
As the penny-saving campaign continues to gain momentum, We are eagerly awaiting the moment when we can present their collective donation to a breast cancer awareness organization. Their dedication and perseverance serve as a reminder that even the smallest contributions can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.
October is also National Principals month. Donations will be in honor of Browning-Pearce’s principal, Yolanda Brady, who is a breast cancer survivor. One hundred percent of the money raised will be returned to the community in the form of a donation to Pink Out Putnam.
