This is a message from the Putnam County School District to inform you that we are closely monitoring TROPICAL STORM ETA as it makes it way to landfall.
District offices and Schools will resume operations tomorrow morning and after-school extracurricular activities will resume as planned.

At this time District offices and Schools are scheduled to resume operations tomorrow morning and after school extracurricular activities will resume as planned.

The Putnam County School District is proud to recognize James (JT) Stout as the PCSD Principal of the Year for 2020-2021.
In 2001, Mr. Stout began his career in education in Putnam County. Since that time, he has served many different roles: teacher, athletic coach and school leader. Mr. Stout has been the principal of Palatka High School since 2016.
When asked recently what his favorite thing was about being a principal he responded: "I enjoy helping students achieve their goals and working with teachers to be the best they can be for our students. Greeting seniors as they walk across the stage at graduation is the best reward as a high school principal."

The Putnam County School District is pleased to announce Yolanda Brady as the PCSD Assistant Principal of the Year for 2020-2021!
Yolanda is a product of the South Putnam community as a graduate from Crescent City High School. After receiving her education credentials, she came back to South Putnam to serve our community and raise her family.
She has worked in the capacity of ESE teacher, reading teacher, CRT, guidance counselor, TOSA, and assistant principal. Under her leadership, the achievement of all subgroups in South Putnam has increased.
She continues to place an emphasis on academic achievement and opportunities for all students in Putnam County, and we are so proud to recognize her for her efforts on behalf of our community!

You never know what they might say or do, but it is always such a treat to get a front row seat to their growth and development. They are funny,smart, unpredictable, and completely honest. I love working with all stakeholders to reach a goal: staff, students, parents and community. Secondly, I love learning! Superintendent Surrency and Kristin Carroll, administrator on special assignment in Human Resources led a national round table on the importance of teacher retention. Kristin shared the success of PCSD’s Novice Teacher Mentor program that has improved teacher retention for new teachers from 65% to 90% in 3 years.
