Thanks to the generosity of Florida Power & Light (FPL), and in partnership with the Northeast Florida Regional STEM2 Hub, PCSD students will soon be getting a firsthand look at the future of technology through Pepper the Robot—an interactive, educational tool designed to enhance student engagement and learning in K–12 classrooms.
Standing at just four feet tall, Pepper is equipped with HD cameras, a touchscreen, and advanced AI capabilities that allow it to interact naturally with students through conversation, movement, and even emotional recognition. Pepper is not just an engaging classroom presence, but a powerful tool for learning about robotics, artificial intelligence, and real-world STEM applications.
This exciting opportunity builds on years of collaboration between FPL and STEM2Hub. Pepper will soon be engaging students in Putnam County and across Northeast Florida through events, teacher development sessions, LEGO robotics programs, and more—bringing energy and excitement to STEM learning.
This partnership isn’t just about showcasing technology—it’s about giving students meaningful, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and a passion for the future.
