Sole Source
The use of a Sole Source purchase is provided by Florida Administrative Rule 6A-1.012. The School Board can waive the competitive bid process when the responsible Administrator, Manager, Director, or Principal have made a written justification that there is only one source available to supply a commodity or service. Upon approval of single/sole source request, the Purchasing Department will post notice of intended single/sole source purchase for a minimum of (7) seven business days.
If you believe you have a "like" product, please contact the Purchasing Department via purchasing@my.putnamschools.org. "Like" shall mean equal, equivalent, and/or identical. If the Purchasing Department does not receive "like" product information during the posting period, the purchase order shall be issued to the listed vendor.
Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, and School Board Policy 6326 or failure to post the bond or other security required by law within the time allowed for filing a bond shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.
