What is Student Government?
Student Government is the official representative of the student body. Student Government promotes the schools core values of Quality, Integrity, Respect and Mutual accountability. Offers and oversee activities for furthering the academic and social growth of the student body and provides a democratic and representative forum through which students may address school-related issues affecting the student body.
Specific role of Student Government
Serve as the official representative of the student body to the faculty and administration.
Act as consultants to the faculty and administration concerning all matters of student life.
Promote school spirit and unity by sponsoring a variety of social events.
Work in conjunction with the administration to oversee and vote on formal sanctioning of student organizations on campus
How to Join?
All QIR students are welcome at all Student government general assembly meeting held every [day].
If you would like to be a voting member and represent your class listed and look for information about elections that occur each fall.

Formal Structure of SG
The Executive Council shall consist of the following three officials:
The Student Body President
must be a Senior
must have served at least one year as an active member of SG
The Student Body Vice-President
must be a Junior
prior SG involvement preferred
The Secretary
can be Junior or Senior
The General Assembly is the voting body of SG. It will be made up of representatives from each class.
Four representatives for the 7th grade
Four representatives for the 8th grade
Four representatives for the 9th grade
Four representatives for the 10th grade
Four representatives for the 11th grade
Four representatives for the 12th grade
All QIR students are welcome to attend any Student Government meetings. However, students who have not been elected as class representatives may not cast votes.
