Non Discrimination Statement

No person shall, on the basis of race, color, religious or political beliefs, sex or gender, age, national or ethnic origin,

disability or handicap, genetic information, sexual orientation, or marital status, be excluded from participation in, be

denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination or harassment under any education program or activity, or in

an employment conditions or practices conducted by the School District, except provided by law.

 

The Board is committed to providing an equal opportunity regardless of social or economic background, place of

residence within the boundaries of the District, and will provide equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated

youth groups.

 

The School Board shall admit students to District Schools, programs, and classes without regard to race, color,

religious or political beliefs, sex or gender, age, national or ethnic origin, disability or handicap, genetic information,

or marital status.

 

The School Board shall comply with all state and federal laws, which prohibit discrimination and are designed to

protect the civil rights of applicants, employees, and/or students, or other persons protected by applicable law.

 

The Superintendent shall appoint a compliance officer whose responsibility it will be to ensure that Federal and State

regulations are complied with and that any complaints are dealt with promptly in accordance with law. S/He shall

also ensure that proper notice of nondiscrimination for Title II, Title VI, and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title

IX of the Education Amendment Act of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Age Act is

provided to students, their parents, staff members, and the general public. Any inquiries regarding the nondiscrimination
