The Rotary Club of Crescent City provided Middleton-Burney Elementary School with $1,500 as an incentive for hiring much-needed new teachers at the school.
The money was used to cover new teacher Cynthia Duckworth’s expenses moving from Texas.
Duckworth said having her moving expenses covered is what made the difference in her decision to move to Putnam to teach at Middleton-Burney.
