Lunch and Literacy Visit Students During Summer

Lunch and Literacy is a Title I enrichment program in partnership with food service that provides summer nutrition and literacy activities to our students over the summer months. In its fourth year, the program serves between 230 to 275 meals everyday to children living in San Mateo , Satsuma, Pomona Park and Crescent City as well as west Putnam.  These buses have designated stops where students board the bus and eat a lunch, then the students are given books provided by Title I and are assisted in literacy activities by an instructional assistant. Parental Involvement activities are also provided to parents of the children. The women's missionary group has adopted our county homeless education program and expanded their support to the students on the buses
